01Does it really work without an account?
Yes — you get 10 free IDs per browser, no signup needed. Create an account to save catches, map spots, and unlock patterns.
02How do product update emails work?
Optional signup on the homepage saves your email for launch notes and major feature releases. We don't sell the list; unsubscribe anytime when we add that link to emails.
03How accurate is the species ID?
Our freshwater model hits 94% top-1 on our held-out test set. When it's unsure, the top-3 list usually includes the right species — you can correct it in one tap.
04Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the app caches the model on first install (~40 MB), IDs run fully on-device. Conditions auto-attach when you regain signal.
05Where does my GPS data go?
Nowhere we don't need it to go. Spots are stored encrypted, only visible to you, never sold or shared with third parties. You can export or wipe everything anytime.
06Can I import old catches?
Yes — CSV import from Fishbrain, Fishidy, ANGLR, and most major apps. We map fields, you confirm, done.
07What about regulations across states?
We track size/slot/season for all US states and Canadian provinces, updated weekly. Pro plans get push alerts when a rule changes for a spot you fish.
